Developing a shared vision for Basingstoke and Deane
Drawing on previous public consultations and evidence collated in the development of strategies, such as for the Local Development Framework, some key ambitions for the future of the borough were developed.
These were tested with partners through Basingstoke Area Strategic Partnership such as at the 2009 Conference, "Focussing on the Future"and a draft vision was developed for consultation.
Residents, stakeholders and partners were invited to comment on the draft vision and key ambitions through various strands such as:

a sample survey of 600 residents

internet survey via the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council website

partner engagement activities.
Further testing was carried out via the borough council newsletter that went to every house in the borough. For further information:
